Where Waysides Bloom is a narrative-driven guide book that focuses on the transitory state of growing into adulthood. This explores the different topics that many young adults face in their life.

It follows two protagonists, Mushi and Zi, who travel the world, helping others who are dealing with feelings like anxiety, burnout, self-doubt and failure. This book blends layout design, typography, and illustration; working together to form a cohesive design system, spanning across 112 pages in 4 chapters.

I also created a figma prototype where people can explore the characters in-depth as well as a function to purchase the book.
